September 20, 2018 John Mariana will Present “Artistic Reality – After the Capture” & Print Competition

2018 09 john marianaThe Smyrna Chapter of the GNPA is excited to have John Mariana present “Artistic Reality – After the Capture” and judge September’s Photo Print Competition. The meeting will begin at 7:00 pm at the Smyrna Community Center. Members as well as interested potential members are invited.

John Mariana is a master of Photoshop and will demonstrate how he “enhances” the real world image after he captures it. His presentation will show how to progress from simple and effective enhancements to more sophisticated composites of multiple images.

John has been working in the field of photography for almost 40 years. As a “Photographic Artist,” he depicts the world as first seen within his mind.  His heart provides the emotional content.  Color, light, shadows and special relationships are combined to bring you into his world, to have you feel the world as he feels it.

One of John’s images was recently featured in Outdoor Photographer Magazine as the Grand Prize winner of the Annual Nature’s Colors Photo Contest. https://www.outdoorphotographer.com/photo-contests/natures-colors/. Additional work of John’s can be seen on his website www.jmariana.com.
