June 13, 2017 - “It’s a Small World After All” - A Practical Guide to Close-Up Photography with Jeff Milsteen

Close-up photography covers a number of photographic genres — from nature to tabletop to abstract —and presents limitless creative opportunities to photographers of all levels. This presentation will focus on the tools and techniques needed to get up close and personal with small subjects. We’ll explore the range of equipment that can be used (HINT - you don’t need an expensive macro lens!) and learn lighting and focusing methods that will enhance our ability to make successful macro images. Join us for what promises to be an educational and entertaining presentation!

Jeff has been an avid photographic enthusiast for over 25 years.  A past president of the Southeastern Photographic Society and Photographer of the Year of that organization for four of the last five years, Jeff’s work has been featured in local and national publications, as well as a variety of exhibits in the Southeast.  Jeff has been a frequent presenter and judge at photography clubs in the greater metro area and enjoys sharing his insights with other photographers.   You can see Jeff’s photography at milsteen.smugmug.com or follow him on Flickr at flickr.com/photos/milsteen/
