Fernbank Science Center and Georgia Nature Photographers Association (GNPA)  invites you to an open discussion and learning opportunity.

Plan and prepare NOW for photographing the August 21, 2017 Solar Eclipse.
Don’t miss capturing this once-in-a-life-time event by not being prepared!

This event is open and free to everyone. All are welcome!

GNPA’s Ed Zawacki leads our discussion, sharing his research, information from other presentations, and all he’s learned discussing eclipses with other experienced photographers, and researching other fun facts about eclipses.  

Topics include:

  • What is a Solar Eclipse
  • Equipment requirements for DSLRs and Mirrorless cameras as well as point-and-shoot and phones
  • Recommended locations for capturing your photos
  • Planning and setup details and resources
  • Suggestions for accessing and incorporating various other tools into your process

While this is geared towards an intermediate photography overview, we encourage photographers at all levels to attend.

This program will follow the regularly scheduled Fernbank Planetarium outstanding program,  “Totality: The Wonder of Eclipses.” at 3:00 PM 4:00 PM

There is an admission fee for the Totality program

  • Adults (ages 19-61) $7.00
  • Students (ages 3-18) $5.00
  • Seniors (62+) $5.00
