The Gwinnett Chapter of GNPA is happy to announce a field trip to Poole’s Mill Covered Bridge & Gibbs Gardens, on Thursday June 22, 2017, at 7:30 AM.

This field trip will take place in two locations.

2017 06 pools mill covered bridgeThere will be an opportunity to photograph historic Poole’s Mill covered bridge, as well as surrounding water features. Then we will go to nearby Gibbs Gardens to photograph water, day lilies, reflection ponds, and many other blooms.

Poole’s Mill covered bridge was built in 1901 by Bud Gentry. It is 94.6 feet long by 14.5 feet wide. Its truss is town lattice. It runs across Settendown Creek, which offers some rocky water features.
