GNPA Is Going Back to The Mountains A few weeks ago 6 GNPA members went to North Carolina to photograph very old barns (many from the 19th century) in Madison County. Here are a few photos from the spring trip. Trip leaders and professional photographers Don McGowan and Bonnie Cooper live in Asheville and work with the Appalachian Barn Conservancy to provide support and assistance to owners who are committed to preserve these ancient treasures. We are going to the Smokies again this year! It has become a tradition of GNPA, to take off to the Great Smokies National Park to photograph landscapes, wildlife, flora, the historic structures and artifacts that all have been preserved to reveal the rich tapestry of the region. In 2019, this 7th Circle B photography trip will offer many opportunities to shoot wildlife and landscapes within several great refuges and wildlife areas in Florida. As for every previous Circle B trip, this one will also be a little different. This time we will focus on only two bases of operations - the first location will be the Wakulla Lodge including their beautiful jungle cruise and shooting sunrise and wildlife at St Marks NWR. Step Back is a privately constructed village representing life in the early 1900s. Ladies will be dressed in period costumes and the church, cabins, store, schoolhouse, etc will be decorated for Christmas. This may be the last of this event, as the land will be under new ownership next year.
