Welcome to our exciting 10th Anniversary GNPA Expo 2019 celebration! Our members have spoken and we have heard you! We have created a wonderful series of educational and artistic talks to further our members knowledge and abilities to create the natural images they aspire to.

Each day will not only bring you fabulous talks and sessions but we are serving lunch on Friday and Saturday at the convention center for your convenience. Your hotel includes breakfast for 2 each day as well.

  • Thursday during the day, we are offering a series of workshops at area locations that will inspire you. In the evening our first keynote speaker is Ian Plant who will give a talk on Ultra Wide Nature Photography.
    • There are 4 wonderful workshops on Thursday. These happenings start between 9am and 1PM to ensure that there is no interference with the keynotes or sessions.
      • Water Photography led by Larry Winslett. A field trip along the Riverwalk to practice photographing water, Cost: $50, start time 9AM.
      • From Field to Final led by Ian Plant. He will share with you the most important parts of his digital darkroom workflow, taking several raw photos and developing them using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. Classroom: Convention Center Meeting Room 101, Cost: $100, start time 1PM.
      • Nature Photography at Callaway Gardens led by Eric Bowles. A journey through the Cecil B. Day Butterfly House. Opportunities for both butterflys and flowers. Cost: $50, start time 12:45 at Callaway.
      • Create Your Own Secret Garden led by Anna DeStefano. See our ever-changing world with fresh eyes. Imagine and capture unique images that reveal your personal vision. Location: Columbus Botanical Gardens. Cost $50, start time 9AM.
    • Friday, we have a morning keynote by Amy Gulick on Inspiring Conservation through Visual Storytelling. This is followed by lunch and then the afternoon sessions of talks. In the evening, we are hosting a “Meet the speakers” opportunity with a cash bar which will allow you to interact with all our speakers in a more relaxed setting.
    • Saturday morning begins with a keynote by Charlotte Gibb on Making a personal statement with Intimate Landscapes. This is followed by lunch and then the afternoon sessions of talks. Note that some talks from Friday are repeated on Saturday giving attendees the opportunity to catch something they may have missed on the first day. He is giving us 2 part talks: Photography for the Greater Good and What’s the Story?  There will be a short break in-between his talks.
    • Sunday morning, we will have our closing ceremonies, which will include the results of our pre-Expo photo competition, a photo review with our judges, fabulous door prizes and closing remarks by your Expo chairperson and GNPA president.

Early bird registration is $175 for the Expo which goes up to $225 after April 1st.

Please note that

  • hotel registration closes on April 10 
  • conference registration closes on April 17th so we can give our final number of attendees for the lunches.
In addition, when you register for Expo you will receive a discount code to register for the pre-Expo event on April 13, 2019 at which Rick Sammon will give a full day seminar at the Norcross Community Center 10 College St NW, Norcross, GA 30071. His topic is Creative Visualization for Photographers.
