The photo displayed, titled "House Keeping" by Gordon Wilson was last year's Best In Show winner!

We will also do a group photo critique. If you would like one of your nature photos critiqued by the group, upload it to the meetup. We will discuss the positive aspects of the photo as well as what we might do to improve it.

Please upload only one photo to this meetup per person. You must be present at the meeting for the critique.

GNPA Coastal Welcomes Diana Churchill and Kris Williams!

2019 04 Diana Churchill 1Monday, April 1, 2019
6:00 PM to 7:30 PM

The Creative Coast at The Labs, 2222 Bull St., Savannah, GA

Diana Churchill is a leading authority when it comes to birding and bird photography in the low country. I've also been told that she was the GNPA Coastal Chapter's very first speaker back when the meetings where held at Oatland Island Wildlife Center.

We will also have a quick presentation by fellow GNPA Coastal Member, Kris Williams, of the Coretta Research Project on Wassaw Island. Kris will present another opportunity to spend some time on a remote Georgia barrier island while studying loggerhead sea turtles and photographing the island.

Here's an excerpt from Diana's website... "Diana Churchill has a passion for birds. She loves watching them, photographing them, and reading about them. Diana especially loves sharing her passion with others. Whether working at Wild Birds Unlimited, leading field trips, or writing articles, Diana’s enthusiasm for birds is contagious.

Since 2001, Diana has been writing a twice-monthly column, “Birder’s Eye View,” for the Savannah Morning News. In 2011, Diana published Birder’s Eye View: Savannah & the Low Country which featured 53 of her articles, organized by season. The book sold through its initial printing of 4000 copies, inspiring Diana to create Volume II.”
