The “Freedom” of Creative Photography:
Art, Technique, AND Processing

2019 02 anna destafano

Join Anna DeStefano’s interactive discussion of how to evolve your creative vision, execute unique, artistic, and engaging captures, and develop post-processing skills that are as essential to a successful image as your in-camera work.

Delve into your artistic voice. What excites, attracts, and mesmerizes you; how will you more openly and consistently explore each opportunity?

Turn technique on its ear. How uniquely do you tell your story; have you mastered photography and camera basics enough to “bend” tried and true methods to your greatest advantage?

See your in-camera image as only the beginning. Train your artist’s eye not only to maximize the power of skillful post-processing, but also to anticipate the “finished” result you want to achieve, WHILE you explore and react to your shooting environment.

Finishing her fourteenth year as a professional artist (she’s published 27 novels and works as a developmental editor and ghost writer for both fiction and non-fiction authors), Anna DeStefano brings a uniquely creative vision to her photography. In each image she’s found her poetry and has fallen in love with the visual stories she tells. Rehabbing from a sudden illness by immersing herself in our natural world, her Affirmation Photography™ business began and has since evolved with a single, clarion mission: shining nature’s healing magic into everyday life.

You’ll find her soft focus flower collection in Emory Healthcare locations throughout greater Atlanta. She’s currently completing her third and fourth books of photographic meditation: offering  images and inspirational messages for those traveling paths of healing and rehabilitation. Commissioned by a farm-to-table restaurant on Peachtree Street, she’s recently launched a 20+ piece installation of large-scale canvas prints in Buckhead. And her fine art pieces can be found in North Georgia galleries from Clarkesville to Ellijay.

Anna regularly shares her photography journey, her learning process, and her newest images through her 365 Day Challenge blog on AFFIRMATIONPHOTOGRAPHY.COM. She’d love to hear from you there, or on her Instagram or Facebook feeds. Search for Affirmation Photography™ on both sites; you can’t miss her.
