February 20, 2019 – “Landscape Photography” with Tom Vadnais

LOCATION--Alpharetta Arts Center – 238 Canton Street, Alpharetta, GA. (Corner of Canton St. and Mayfield Rd.) Overflow parking, if required, will be at the Elementary school about 1 block from the Arts Center.

Doors will open at 6:30 pm. 6:30 to 7:00 pm will be time for socializing. Presentation will begin at 7:15 pm.

Members as well as interested potential members are invited to join us.

Ever wonder how people get those great landscape shots? We are very fortunate to have Tom Vadnais joining us on February 20th to discuss how paying attention to the effects of light and composition can greatly affect your landscape photography. This is a great opportunity to learn from a very reputable photographer and speaker.

About Tom—

Since the film days, Tom has had a strong passion for outdoor photography—especially landscapes. He has studied with the likes of Charlie Waite, Charlie Cramer, John Shaw, Jack Dykinga, and Galen Rowell. Since 2004 Tom has been teaching photography and Photoshop in workshops at the Great Smoky Mountains Institute at Tremont (http://gsmit.org/photography-workshops/) with Bill Lea each Spring and as the lead instructor each Fall.

He has co-led NANPA Regional Events in the Everglades and the Smokies. Tom has served on the Board of directors of GNPA, as President of GNPA for two years, President of the Roswell Photographic Society, and founding Board Member of the North Georgia Camera Club Council.
