Sweep the Hooch is an annual day of service, on Saturday, April 6, 2019 – 9am to 1pm., to the Chattahoochee River watershed. 

The event mobilizes volunteers on foot, in waders, or paddlers to remove trash at locations throughout the watershed. There are more than 40 cleanup locations from the headwaters above Lake Lanier, through Atlanta, and down to West Point Lake.

GNPA will be supporting the event by asking you to volunteer as a photographer, donating your images back to the event organizers. 

In order to participate in this free event, you must be registered (on the GNPA event page, not the Sweep the Hooch website). 

Once you are registered for the event a member of the GNPA Conservation Committee will be in touch with you to work out your assignment location and time.
