2019 04 Stay Focused ASoP ImageAnnouncing a NEW Partnership with the Atlanta School of Photography (ASoP) and the Gwinnett Chapter of the Georgia Nature Photographers Association (GNPA).

Our effort to provide new innovative ways to offer photography classes for newer and more experienced GNPA members, we are very excited announce this new partner with the ASoP. 

This first class “Stay Focused” will be offered at two times. Both sessions will cover the same materials, so only register for one, NOT both.  Each class is limited to only 10, so don’t wait register as soon as you can.   Only GNPA members can take advantage of an Early Bird Registration before the general public.

Regular fee is $35.  

Friday, April 5th

Session #1 from 1:00pm-3:00pm

Session #2 from 7:00pm-9:00pm

Overview of the class:  There are so many factors to understand and consider to keeping your subject sharp. Take advantage of the newest technology your camera and lenses have to offer, explore different settings including:

  • • Focus points
  • • Focus Modes - Still vs continuous
  • • Back button focusing
  • • Locking focus methods
  • • Lens stabilization
  • • Movement techniques

We’ll have plenty of hands-on practice time, so bring your:

  • • DSLR or mirrorless camera
  • • Different array of lenses OR your favorite OR most tricky lens
  • • Camera manual (if you don’t have the original book, download the PDF online for your camera)

GNPA members from these classes will also have the opportunity to put what you’ve learned into practice. The following Sunday, April 7 we plan to  have a Photo Walk at a time and nearby location to be announced.
