2019 12 baldeagleA wonderful opportunity to spend time photographing in the beautiful Skagit River Valley, home to a large variety of wintering raptors, shorebirds and waterfowl. The focus of this workshop will be Bald Eagles that are in large numbers on the local rivers. We will also have many chances to see Snow Geese that are overwintering in the valley from Siberia, Tundra and Trumpeter Swans, many different types of small hawks, owls and falcons. Small shorebirds and waterfowl also call this area home in the winter.

The workshop is limited to 4 participants with two instructors to allow for maximum individual instruction and to facilitate ease in approaching our subjects.

Your hosts will be two award winning photographers, Nancy Elwood and Bonnie Block

Nancy has been traveling the world with her camera for the past 20 some years, honing her photographic skills.  Her work has been on the cover of Florida Audubon and in the Smithsonian, having been awarded Highly Honored in the Birds category in 2012 Windland Rice Awards.  Additionally, she has been conducting photography workshops for the past six years.
