Tom will show a video he made, and discuss what it took to process it. He’ll also talk about a GNPA field trip to Bosque next fall.

2014-12 NWATL Tom-W-smallJust in time for Holiday gift giving (or receiving), Tom Vadnais will talk about everyone’s favorite guilty pleasure: PGAS (photo gear acquisition syndrome).

While there are always lots of flashy new toys around, we’ll talk about what gear you really need in the field. Then you can still fill the rest of your camera bags (you do have at least several, right?), shelves, and closets with all kinds of other accessories.

2014 Special November/December Meeting

Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014
St. Edwards Episcopal Church

Food Photos, and Fun

Combined Nov/Dec Meeting will be held on DEC. 10 th - Don't Miss This Chance to Mingle with your Fellow Photographers !

Bring a 9 x12 envelope with one of your photos as an 8x10 inch print inside (or close to those dimensions) for a blind print swap. Be sure that the envelope is blank so that the exchange is anonymous.

You do not have to bring a print to swap to attend the Dec 10th gathering, but we have some great photographers in our chapter so I'm hoping that a lot of people participate in the print swap.

• BRIEF PRESENTATIONS by Chapter members

Janerio Morgan will speak about capturing underwater images.

Jerry Black & Stewart Woodard will speak about their recent award winning images and how they made the winning images.

The Chapter will provide cups, plates, utensils, napkins, & ice.

Please post on the Chapter's Meetup page to bring some type of food item - chips & dip, deli plate, mini sandwiches, sweet stuff, or even healthy veggies & dip.

Several volunteers are neededto come a little early and help with (1) the Print Swap OR (2) setting up the refreshments. Please post on the Chapter's Meetup page if you are willing to help.

As always please bring something for the Church's Food Bank as thanks for St. Edward's providing our meeting space.

NO MEETING ON NOV 26th due to Thanksgiving Holiday

NOTE: That this is NOT on the fourth Wednesday in December!

2014-12-little Green Heron-smallFollowing the organizational meeting, we would like to establish a monthly meeting for the second Tuesday of each month. It is our intent to have a chapter established, approved and announced at the State GNPA Conference March 26 - 29, 2014 at Callaway Gardens.

This is a fantastic opportunity for you to meet up with other nature photographers in the region, improve your skills, find new places to shoot and connect with all the trips and events the GNPA offers.

2014-11-windshaped trees-smallPlease reach out to other photographers you know who are interested in nature photography and let them know of the meeting and get them there too. Regardless of their skill leave, everyone will have the opportunity to learn new skills and meet new friends.
